Participants Of The GATE Program
Participants Of The GATE Program
GATE is the program for students who have been identified as Gifted and Talented. Identification is determined by a combination of Standardized Test Scores, Specialized Tests administered by the School Psychologist, and Teacher recommendation.
The GATE Program offers opportunities for these students to go beyond their regular classroom assignments and curriculum with more depth, complexity and creativity in areas such as science, geography, history, art, literature, and technology.
GATE students are served primarily through differentiated instruction during their regular instructional day with their core teachers. All curriculum in use at Park Avenue includes instructional components to meet the needs of GATE students and Park Avenue teachers are committed to meeting the needs of ALL learners.
