After School Education and Safety Program (A.S.E.S.) Top of Page
Park Avenue After School Education and Safety Program, also known as Kid's Club, provides a safe and stimulating environment at no charge to the parent.
K-5students engage in academics, enrichment, and recreational activities that are clearly integrated with the students’ regular day.
The program is developed in collaboration with site staff and administration, YCUSD, and community partners. Students who are enrolled will participate in two components:
An academic component which provides tutoring and/or homework support to assist students in meeting California state standards in core academic subjects such as English Language Arts and Mathematics.
An educational enriched component which reinforces and complements the regular school academic program by providing students with opportunities to participate in recreation, youth development, visual and performing arts, career awareness, and community service activities.
The ASES after school program commences immediately upon the conclusion of the every school day and remains open until 6:00 p.m.
Students in grades K-5 may participate.
A nutritious snack is served daily.
All staff members who supervise students meet the minimum YCUSD qualifications for an instructional aide.
