YCUSD After School Programs, funded through ASES grants, operate on all school days from the end of school to 6:00 pm.

YCUSD After School Programs provide academic support, enrichment, and recreational activities.

IT IS EXPECTED THAT STUDENTS ATTEND THE PROGRAM ON A DAILY BASIS AND STAY THE FULL AFTERNOON

Under certain conditions, students may occasionally be picked up early. Such as:

1.Student attends a parallel program (programs in the community such as organized sports, scouts, youth group activities, private music or dance lessons)

2. Family schedule makes it difficult for student to be picked up at end of program.

3. Student has other non-program obligations.

4. Student has a medical appointment.

Parent / Guardian acknowledgement:

I have read and accept the YCUSD ASES Program Early Release Policy.

Park Avenue After School Program, Kid’s Club, is operated as an extension of the schools’ regular day. It is open immediately after dismissal at 2:30 pm and is open until 6:00 p.m.

Kid’s Club provides students with a safe, supervised environment while offering enrichment and recreation activities.

Enrollment capacity is dependent on the guidelines outlined in the After School Education and Safety grant. It is provided that 86 students will attend daily in K-5 schools.

Enrollment capacity varies per grade level. A vacancy in one grade level does not assure a space in another. Enrollment of siblings is not guaranteed as vacancies occur.

When Kid’s Club reaches its’ enrollment capacity*, students are put on awaiting list. The list is honored on a “first on list, first served”basis as space becomes available in the grade level requested. Spaces are created as students drop from the program.

*Enrollment capacity is 20 students and student to adult ratio is 20:1.
